Student Opener Competition

The ASI Student Opener Competition is a friendly competition where students compete for a chance to perform at Festival 78. The winner(s) will be chosen based off of the student votes. Winners will open for the headlining act(s) and have the opportunity to be showcased using the same production items as the Festival 78 headliners.

Applicant requirements:
  • At least 1 member of the performing group must be a current, CSUSM student
  • Must be available the day of Festival 78 - April 23, 2022.
  • Must provide technical rider. ASI will work to accomodate tech needs within budget.
  • Must provide music sample as part of application by e-mailing a link, video, etc. to asicab1@csusm.edu and asicab6@csusm.edu
