The ALCI offers two teacher training programs for teachers of English.

Training Programs

Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESL/TEFL) Certificate

Face-to-face option:

Designed for individuals who want a highly regarded, intensive program that will allow them to apply to the most prestigious positions teaching English abroad (EFL) or in the United States (ESL). This 120-hour certificate program focuses on best practices in methods, materials and techniques used to teach English as a second/foreign language.

Asynchronous online option:

Designed for individuals who want a basic, low-cost introduction to the field of  teaching English abroad (EFL) or in the United States (ESL). This 60-hour certificate program gives an overview of best practices in methods, materials and techniques used to teach English as a second/foreign language.

TEFL Certificate for International Teachers of English

Designed to meet the needs of groups of teachers from abroad. This customizable program focuses on principles and techniques that can be adapted to the teaching situation of the home country.
