Annual Benefits Information & Enrollment

Do I need to make any changes?

Health, Dental, Vision (No Changes - No Action Required)

If you do not wish to make any changes to your current health, dental, vision or voluntary plans, you do not need to do anything during Open Enrollment. Your current elections for these plans will automatically continue for the 2027 Plan Year.

EXCEPTION:  UnitedHealthcare Plans are not being offered in 2027.  You will need to make a health plan change or your coverage will automatically change to the default plan based on residential zip code (List of CalPERS Default Plans).

Flexible Spending Accounts (Re-Enrollment Required - Action Required)

You must re-enroll every year in a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA and/or DCRA). These plans will not automatically renew.

Dependent Supporting Documentation/Social Security Numbers

This is required only if the dependent is new to coverage(s). The Benefits Office has previous/current dependent records on file. The Benefits Office will communicate if supporting documentation/ssn information is pending.

Contact the Benefits Office at hrbenefits@csusm.edu with benefit questions.

ALL OPEN ENROLLMENT ELECTIONS TAKE EFFECT, January 1, 2027, AND SHOULD REFLECT ON YOUR December 2026 PAY PERIOD/JANUARY 1 PAY WARRANT. Please contact the OHR Benefits Team, for further assistance,  if you do not see the correct information on your January Pay Warrant.
