
OHR is proud to offer a variety of resources and training opportunities to help develop the skills of both new and experienced managers at CSUSM.
The Principles of Supervision workshop focuses on developing supervisory skills with higher education in mind. Through learning, discussion, practice and reflection, participants will gain a greater awareness of their own supervisory skills and learn strategies for more effectively leading others.

This two-day CSU-created workshop is open to all CSUSM employees responsible for supervising others, with preference given to those who supervise five or more employees. Approval from the participant's Appropriate Administrator is required. Participants must be able to attend both full days. Space is limited per session.

Situational Leadership® II (SLII®) is a widely taught leadership model based on work of Ken Blanchard. Participants will learn three skills: goal setting, diagnosing and matching and a new language of leadership that will help you improve the quality and quantity of conversations you have with your team members in order to accelerate development, increase performance and support autonomy.
Benefits os Situational Leadership:
This is a full-day in-person workshop and will require 3 hours of online pre-work to introduce participants to the Situational Leadership model. Open to all CSUSM employees responsible for supervising others, with preference given to MPP's. Approval from the participant's Appropriate Administrator is required. Must be able to complete pre-work and attend full-day session. Space is limited per session.
