If an employee is required to report for active military duty in any branch of the
United States armed forces, the employee is entitled to receive up to 30 days of paid
military leave for emergency, temporary and/or indefinite assignments in a fiscal
year upon meeting eligibility criteria, if required.
Employee Responsibilities:
- Notify Department and the Office of Human Resources immediately after receiving official
order
- Make an appointment with your HR Analyst as soon as possible
- Complete the CSUSM Employees Request for Leave of Absence form and attach the official
military documents (Form provided by HR Analyst)
- Provide updates regarding leave situation to Department and the Office of Human Resources,
as necessary
- Upon release from active duty, notify supervisor and HR Analyst of return date
