CSU Executive Order 1088 reaffirms CSU’s commitment to maintaining and implementing employment policies and procedures that comply with applicable affirmative action laws and regulations. CSUSM takes affirmative steps to ensure broad outreach and recruitment, fair and equitable treatment of all applicants for employment, and fair treatment of all employees.
The Office of Human Resources is responsible for establishing and maintaining an Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) that is updated annually in accordance with federal regulations. The process of completing this plan gives us an opportunity to review the University’s action-oriented programs and placement goals. The AAP identifies areas where we can engage in a good faith effort to achieve and maintain diversity and ensure that our policies and practices comply with affirmative action and equal opportunity principles.
