Nuala Campany, Ph.D., has over 25 years of organization and talent development. She has a Ph.D. in human and organization systems and her experiences around the globe include leading change management initiatives to support organization transformation efforts, mergers and acquisitions, the implementation of team-based systems, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing. In addition, she is an expert consultant in the areas of leadership development, team effectiveness, talent management, organization design and effectiveness.
 

Sam Clarke
Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship
Cal State San Marcos
 
Samuel Clarke is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management in the College of Business Administration. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and BA in Finance from the University of Utah. In addition to pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Sam is involved in the founding and growth of several new ventures in the areas of software, health benefits, and consumer financing. He has also previously served as Chair of the Utah Entrepreneurship Challenge at the Pierre Lassonde Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Utah where he oversaw the entrepreneurial programs, business plan competition, training and education, accelerator and over $100,000 in seed financing per year.
 
Professor Clarke's research focuses on novel ways in which entrepreneurs and investors use financial technologies in the resource acquisition process. His research has been presented at the Academy of Management Conference and Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference.

Scott Corriveau, MBA

Scott Corriveau is a global Senior Executive and CEO who is known for building profitable businesses and companies across a wide range of sectors, from Consumer Products, Healthcare or Industrial B2B. His experience spans the full bandwidth of stages of growth: mature company, high growth, and start-ups. He is equally adept in International public companies, as a Senior Executive leading a $600 million dollar global business unit of a large-cap, and driving a private equity or venture capital backed business.

 

Robert Hill
Principal, Deloitte Tokyo
Executive in Residence, CSUSM
 
Proponent of Purpose, Board Member, Executive-in-Residence, and former Deloitte Consulting Managing Partner and US Navy Officer with over 38 years’ global experience with technology driven business transformation in consumer, industrial, and technology sectors.
 
Currently advising and mentoring Universities, Businesses and Non-Profits with a focus on inclusive economic development: Advisory Board Member, Executive in Residence, and Guest Lecturer at the California State University at San Marcos, the University of San Diego and The Ohio State University. Board Member and Mentor to small businesses at the Chairman’s Roundtable. Board Member and Member of the Grants Committee at the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation, and Member of Tech Coast Angels. Received an MBA from Georgia Tech and a BSIE from The Ohio State University. Attended Executive Education at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, and Columbia.

Miguel is a highly accomplished, results-oriented C-level leader with more than 35+ years experience leading business management, global sales/marketing, with two Fortune 500 companies. A Leader in running a $200M Sales organization as a VP, Sales, and most currently providing Leadership and Sales Training to professionals as a Transformational Leadership Consultant and Coach. He also serves as faculty teaching Sales and Sales Management, Leadership and International Marketing and Sales.
 

Pete McLaughlin
Principal Consultant,  McLaughlin Enterprises
 
Peter McLaughlin is a current Executive in Residence & Lecturer at CSUSM. He is the Technological Founder of Pyxis Corp and he helped to create the wireless tire pressure monitoring system TPMS for General Motors. Peter served as a member of the Olympic Organizing Committee and also was the Executive Producer of the full length feature film, “Gone”.

FAQs

  • What does the service cost?

    This consulting service is free of charge. A CSUSM team of faculty and Executives in Residence will work with the business owner to assess the state of the organization and identify the most significant problems or opportunities. The consultant will then provide recommendations and advice for moving forward. The consultant may recommend using in-house staff, third party service providers, or CSUSM fee-based resource programs to execute ideas.

  • How soon after submitting my application will I be contacted?

    Please allow at least 48 hours response time for your application. If you have immediate questions, please email cba@csusm.edu. 
  • How long will the consulting process take?

    Each business will differ in service needed. The projected time frame is 2-4 weeks, which will include 2-3 virtual meetings with the consultant.
