Nuala Campany, Ph.D., has over 25 years of organization and talent development. She has a Ph.D. in human and organization systems and her experiences around the globe include leading change management initiatives to support organization transformation efforts, mergers and acquisitions, the implementation of team-based systems, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing. In addition, she is an expert consultant in the areas of leadership development, team effectiveness, talent management, organization design and effectiveness.
Sam Clarke
Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship
Cal State San Marcos
 
Samuel Clarke is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management in the College of Business Administration. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and BA in Finance from the University of Utah. In addition to pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Sam is involved in the founding and growth of several new ventures in the areas of software, health benefits, and consumer financing. He has also previously served as Chair of the Utah Entrepreneurship Challenge at the Pierre Lassonde Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Utah where he oversaw the entrepreneurial programs, business plan competition, training and education, accelerator and over $100,000 in seed financing per year.
 
Professor Clarke's research focuses on novel ways in which entrepreneurs and investors use financial technologies in the resource acquisition process. His research has been presented at the Academy of Management Conference and Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference.
Miguel de Jesus

Miguel is a highly accomplished, results-oriented C-level leader with more than 35+ years experience leading business management, global sales/marketing, with two Fortune 500 companies. A Leader in running a $200M Sales organization as a VP, Sales, and most currently providing Leadership and Sales Training to professionals as a Transformational Leadership Consultant and Coach. He also serves as faculty teaching Sales and Sales Management, Leadership and International Marketing and Sales.
Pete McLaughlin
Principal Consultant,  McLaughlin Enterprises
 
Peter McLaughlin is a current Executive in Residence & Lecturer at CSUSM. He is the Technological Founder of Pyxis Corp and he helped to create the wireless tire pressure monitoring system TPMS for General Motors. Peter served as a member of the Olympic Organizing Committee and also was the Executive Producer of the full length feature film, “Gone”.

Alan Lerchbacker offers extensive experience in executive management, strategic planning and growth initiatives, financing mergers & acquisitions, and expanding markets and growth strategies. With a background in Shipyard Operations, Alan was the first CEO of Austal USA, an Australian Company teamed with General Dynamics and Boeing, headquartered in Mobile, Alabama.  Lerchbacker grew this company from 66 people to over 1200 and today they are over 5000 employees and building the next two classes of ships for the U.S. Navy; LCS and JHSV. Alan sold his San Diego based company NCI to YYK and is now consulting. His education background includes a Director Certification, from UCLA, Anderson School of Business, an EMBA from Claremont University; Peter Drucker School of Business, an MSME from Naval Postgraduate School, and a BSME from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis.

FAQs

  • What does the service cost?
     This consulting service is free of charge. A CSUSM team of faculty and Executives in Residence will work with the business owner to assess the state of the organization and identify the most significant problems or opportunities. The consultant will then provide recommendations and advice for moving forward. The consultant may recommend using in-house staff, third party service providers, or CSUSM fee-based resource programs to execute ideas.
  • How soon after submitting my application will I be contacted.
    Please allow at least 48 hours response time for your application. If you have immediate questions, please email our Director, Miguel de Jesus, at mdejesus@csusm.edu.
  • How long will the consulting process take?
    One 60 minute to 75 minute consultation with a consultant.
