Temporary Telecommuting Agreement Example Agreement

In response to COVID-19, and out of care and concern for our community, most of our employees have begun to work from home temporarily. The campus has created a Temporary Telecommuting Agreement which provides the flexibility needed to adjust to emergent circumstances as the current health situation continues to change.

All full-time and part-time represented staff (including Units 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11), Confidential staff, and MPP employees who are telecommuting must complete and submit a Temporary Telecommuting Agreement.

Employee Instructions:

  • Download the new fillable CSUSM  Temporary Telecommuting Agreement PDF linked above.
  • In lieu of your signature on the agreement, type your name in the signature line.
  • Attach the completed agreement in an email to your MPP/Manager and indicate in the body of email that you accept the terms of the agreement.

MPP Instructions:

  • Review the submitted CSUSM Temporary Telecommuting Agreement to ensure that it reflects the agreed upon days, hours, etc. and contact your employee if any changes need to be made.
  • In lieu of your printed name or signature on the agreement, indicate in the body of the email to HR that you approve of the agreement.
  • Forward the employee's email, with the agreement attached , to your Vice President for final approval.
  • Vice President's will forward approved agreements directly to HR [hr@csusm.edu].

In order to have an effective teleworking program, we encourage both staff and managers to have open and ongoing conversations about work and productivity expectations and communication standards.

We appreciate the wonderful IITS For You website that IITS has launched, which includes collaboration and productivity resources, including how to remotely access your campus computer, voicemail and call forwarding, software, filesharing, security and more.
