Summer 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule 2015
Executive Council has approved the voluntary implementation of a summer 9/80 work schedule for CSUSM staff employees. Managers may offer this alternate work schedule to their staff as long as it meets the following guideline:
- Will be transparent to all internal and external customers of the University by not disrupting normal business operations or service to our customers.
Summer 9/80 Work Schedules:
Option 1 - May 25, 2015 through August 14, 2015
Option 2 - June 1, 2015 through August 21, 2015
Employees who would like to participate in the summer 9/80 work schedule must complete a "Summer 9/80 Work Schedule Request Form" and forward to their appropriate administrator for consideration and approval/denial. The appropriate administrator should forward the completed form to HR prior to May 12, 2015.

Annual Staff Performance Evaluations due by May 29, 2015
The annual review period for non-probationary represented employees is April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. The completed evaluations, with accompanying Performance Development or Improvement Plan as applicable, should be submitted to the Office of Human Resources no later than May 29, 2015.
A workshop for MPPs and Lead Workers,"Planning and Conducting Effective Performance Evaluations" will be offered on two occasions: Thursday, March 26th & April 9th, from 10 -11:30am. There will also be two scheduled workshops for Non-Supervisory Staff: Tuesday, March 24th, from 9:30-11am and Tuesday, April 7th, from 10-11:30am. All workshops will be held in COM 206. To register, please visit the Employee Training Center (ETC) at www.csusm.edu/etc, click the "Portal Login" button and log on using your campus ID and password; then click on the "Schedule" link under "My Menu" on the left-hand side of the page, click on the workshop title on the calendar and select the "Register" button located in the upper right-hand corner of the box. Upon successful registration, you will receive an enrollment confirmation e-mail, containing all of the details of the workshop as well as a link that will add it to your Outlook calendar.
Anthem Blue Cross Breach
Our health plan partner Anthem Blue Cross disclosed that hackers breached its computer systems and obtained personal information of its members. Anthem has said the breach included access to customers' names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, member ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and employment information. However, no personal health care information or credit cards numbers were compromised.
Anthem has individually notified current and former members whose information has been accessed and will provide credit monitoring and identity protection services free of charge so that those who have been affected can have peace of mind going forward.
