How to Clear Cache and Cookies

Clearing your browser’s cache and cookies is an important first step when troubleshooting website issues, as stored files can conflict with updated websites.

If you use Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, you can quickly clear your cache and cookies using this shortcut:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete at the same time while your browser is open.
This will open the menu to clear browsing data.

After clearing the cache and cookies, completely close and restart your browser to ensure the changes take effect.

  • Microsoft Edge
    1. Open Edge.
    2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top‑right corner.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Go to Privacy, search, and services.
    5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
    6. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    7. Choose a Time range (select All time if unsure).
    8. Click Clear now.
    9. Close and reopen Edge.
  • Google Chrome
    1. Open Chrome.
    2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top‑right corner.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Click Privacy and security.
    5. Select Clear browsing data.
    6. Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    7. Choose a Time range.
    8. Click Clear data.
    9. Restart Chrome.
  • Mozilla Firefox
    1. Open Firefox.
    2. Click the menu button (☰) in the top‑right corner.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Click Privacy & Security.
    5. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data.
    6. Click Clear Data.
    7. Check Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content.
    8. Click Clear, then restart Firefox.
  • Safari (MacOS)
    1. Open Safari.
    2. Click Safari in the top menu.
    3. Select Settings (or Preferences).
    4. Go to the Privacy tab.
    5. Click Manage Website Data.
    6. Click Remove All, then Remove Now.
    7. Close and reopen Safari.
  • Samsung Internet (Android)
    1. Open Samsung Internet.
    2. Tap the menu (☰) at the bottom or top.
    3. Tap Settings.
    4. Select Browsing privacy dashboard or Privacy dashboard.
    5. Tap Delete browsing data.
    6. Check Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.
    7. Tap Delete data.
    8. Close and reopen the app.
  • Safari (iOS)
    1. Open the Settings app
    2. Scroll down and tap Safari
    3. Tap Clear History and Website Data
    4. Tap Clear History and Data to confirm
    5. Close and reopen Safari
  • Google Chrome (iOS)
    1. Open the Chrome app
    2. Tap ⋯ (More) at the bottom of the screen
    3. Tap Settings
    4. Select Privacy
    5. Tap Clear Browsing Data
    6. Select Cookies, Site Data and Cached Images and Files
    7. Tap Clear Browsing Data and confirm
    8. Close and reopen Chrome
