Information Security
The CSUSM Information Security Office is responsible for developing and maintaining an Information Security Program designed to keep campus information assets (data and technology) safe from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification and destruction.
The Information Security Program is intended to support principles of academic freedom and the free exchange of ideas while ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.

A security incident can include suspicious, inappropriate or unauthorized activity
related to:
- university computer systems
- networks
- email phishing
- physical property.
