myCSUSMInformation For Former Students
California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) provides email accounts to support currently enrolled students. Access to CSUSM accounts is limited to individuals with an active enrollment status.
To protect the university’s information systems and ensure compliance with CSU policies, accounts for former students are deprovisioned after a defined period. Regularly removing inactive accounts helps reduce cybersecurity risks (such as unauthorized access or account compromise), safeguards university data, and ensures that IT resources are used in support of active students and institutional operations.
Graduating Students (Alumni)
Students who successfully complete their degree program will retain access to their
CSUSM account for 18 months following graduation. After this period, the account will be deactivated and all access removed.
As access to MyCSUSM will no longer be offered, if you need access to transcrips please
email registrar@csusm.edu or visit the following link: Order Transcripts.
Former Students (Non-Graduates)
Students who discontinue enrollment without earning a degree will retain access to their CSUSM account for 180 days following the final day of their last enrolled semester. After this period, the account will be deprovisioned.
Students are strongly encouraged to back up or transfer any important data prior to account deactivation, as access to email and associated services will not be recoverable once the account is removed.
