Charges for Technology Refresh

Eligible for Allocation

General Fund departments are eligible to receive a hardware and annual support allocation from the campus for each staff member's primary computer. Department will be responsible for any hardware cost that exceeds the campus allocation for configurations above the campus baseline (PC Desktop).

Tenure-track faculty hardware costs are covered by IITS. Colleges will not be charged back for primary tenure-track faculty systems.

The below categories are eligible for the campus allocation/funding:

Ineligible for Allocation

Departments and colleges are responsible for annual support and the full cost of hardware at the time of both install and refresh. Hardware cost due as a one-time charge in FY deployed.

The below categories are not eligible for the campus allocation/funding:

Self-support Units: All computers
Auxiliary Organizations: All computers
General Fund Other:
- Student stations
- Additional computers for faculty or staff
- Miscellaneous stations (Examples: consultants, casual workers, shared laptop for meetings, field use, "scanner station")
- Lecturer Offices**

Vendor pricing for hardware is subject to change +/-3%. Hardware pricing detail available by contacting TRP. IITS will honor signed approvals prior to new pricing being posted regardless of model deployed.

Annual support fee includes configuration and installation of a new system, campus software complement, a connection to an existing network jack or wireless AP and Help Desk support.

**Lecturer Stations: IITS will waive support for stateside shared lecturer spaces and dedicated lecturer units; department will be responsible for the one-time hardware replacement cost according to the posted schedule. Self-support departments will be responsible for both annual support and hardware cost reimbursement.
