Virtual Office Hours
We provide drop-in support in our virtual TRC via Zoom (meeting ID 296496061) Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
When you first enter you will be placed in a Waiting Room until someone is available to assist you. Once someone is available, we are limiting the sessions to 15 minutes if there is a queue. If the help will take longer than 15 minutes, we will put you in a breakout room and another person on the team will assist you.
Faculty Ambassadors for Canvas
Canvas Faculty Ambassadors provide an additional level of support to faculty new to Canvas. Faculty serving as Canvas Ambassadors are experienced with using Canvas for teaching and learning, offering one-on-one support to other CSUSM faculty through the summer via email or virtual meetings.

Arease of Expertise: Canvas has made my life teaching online so much easier, and I can't wait to show you how! I have taught nearly 50 courses in Canvas over the past ten years. I can help with making courses aesthetically pleasing, easy to follow and accessible (its easier than you think!). I can help build assignments and create rubrics and show you all the shortcuts to use your content in future courses, including assignments and rubrics! I will show you how to alter time limits for certain students who have accommodations, set modules to open automatically after students have progressed through certain content, publish and unpublish pages and assignments, set your home page, and display your PDF files automatically in the course. I can help with navigating the gradebook, automatically applying zero for no submissions and late credit, and programming Canvas to automatically weight your assignments towards the final grade. All this and many more!
